Through 10 years, the Glencross Invitational - Charity Hockey and Poker event has donated over $2 million to The Hockey Alberta Foundation and Ronald McDonald House Charities Alberta! The event is held each year in October and sponsorship opportunities are always available for individuals and businesses looking to support kids in Alberta. The Average Joe's Den was honored to participate and donate his favorite gifts to a great cause. The Hockey Alberta Foundation is a not-for-profit organization formed in 2001 and registered as Charitable Foundation with the Canada Revenue Agency in 2004. The Hockey Alberta Foundation’s mandate is to provide scholarships to aspiring future leaders in hockey as well as provide funds to other qualified recipients as identified by the CRA Charitable Foundation guidelines. Their Mission: We raise funds to foster and support the access to youth hockey in Alberta. We work in collaboration with partners to fund those who need us, invest in those who will lead us and honour those before us.
